On December 13, 2019, Ningbo David Medical Device Co., Ltd. and the medical health and safety science expert UL established the "UL Witness Test Data Program (WTDP) Laboratory" in Xiangshan, Zhejiang Province. This is the world's first witness laboratory qualification authorized by UL in the field of infant care medical devices. The two parties have formally reached a strategic cooperation consensus to jointly open further in-depth cooperation in the field of infant care.

At the awarding ceremony of the WTDP laboratory, Mr. Chen Zaihong and Mr. Gu Guiguo jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on strategic cooperation of the first medical device manufacturing enterprise in Zhejiang Province. With UL's technical strength, David Medical will make further development plans in many fields, such as product R&D and design, safety regulation testing and certification, global market layout and post-marketing supervision. This MoU not only marks the stable strategic cooperation relationship between David Medical and UL, but also marks a new starting point for the further development of China's intelligent manufacturing in the era of medical innovation.

Driven by China's reform and opening up and industrial development, China's medical device industry is entering a golden stage of rapid growth, and is gradually developing from traditional low-end manufacturing to medium-high-end technological innovative "intelligent manufacturing". Meanwhile, with the improvement of the national living standard and the enhancement of the awareness of medical care, the demand for medical devices has also increased synchronously. Driven by the opening of the two-child policy and the upgrading of consumption, China's infant care market has gradually opened.
After the establishment of the UL WTDP laboratory, David Medical can make full use of its own laboratory equipment resources to carry out relevant product certification tests under the on-site witness of UL technical engineers, effectively saving the time of sample transportation, waiting for testing and problem rectification, and significantly shortening the traditional testing and certification cycle. In addition, the awarding of WTDP laboratory qualification can also further deepen the communication and cooperation between the technical personnel of the two parties, improve the test pass rate and accelerate the product marketing.
